DELISH

Delish

  • High dry matter production throughout the year
  • High palatability due to tetraploid nature
  • Excellent summer forage quality (low aftermath heading)
  • Late heading date (9 days later than Nui)
  • More rapid and reliable establishment than diploid types

Delish® is a new generation, high yielding, fine leaved and densely tillered tetraploid short rotation (hybrid) ryegrass.

Delish has been bred for improved disease resistance and persistence as well as low aftermath heading. The late heading date and low aftermath heading of Delish means it has excellent late spring/summer pasture quality.

Delish is recommended for use on farms wanting to achieve maximum animal productivity. Delish can be expected to persist for 3-5 years where there is good summer rainfall and fertility.

Dry Matter Production

Delish establishes well and has high dry matter production throughout the year.

Sowing and Establishment

Delish seed is heavier than diploid seed, so ideally should be sown at a 40% higher rate than that of diploids. Sow at a minimum of 22kg/ha in a mix with SUPERSTRIKE® clover.

Grazing Management

As with all grasses, overgrazing of Delish should be avoided. Given the higher palatability of Delish, stock may graze it to lower residuals than diploid ryegrasses.
