Pasture Renewal Leads To Win

A competition, run by PGG Wrightson Seeds for New Zealand farmers to go into the draw to win a new car, recently came to a close.

The competition ran from September 2010 until April 2011 and saw farmers across the country purchasing from the campaign's range of tetraploid ryegrass products. The prize was a new Ford XR6 ute, which has been tempting farmers by being parked outside rural merchant stores throughout the country. One entry per 25kg bag of seed gave a lot of opportunities for farmers to get their hands on the prize, and the support PGG Wrightson Seeds received was immense. National Sales and Marketing Manager Paul Kenny says "The feedback we had on the competition and our tetraploid ryegrasses was really positive. Our tetraploid products are the best in the market and we really stand behind them". Competing against thousands other entries, winners Trevor, Julie and Steven Laird of Wanganui said "We always use Winter Star II ryegrass and have recently started to use Base AR37, so to find out that we'd won a new car came as a complete shock". Julie says the new Ford will be an extremely useful addition to their farm.

PGG Wrightson Seeds are the specialists in tetraploid ryegrass technology, breeding market leading cultivars since 1989. They have a complete tetraploid portfolio of annual, Italian, short rotation, long rotation and perennial ryegrasses with a range of endophyte options.
