-
Highest yielding tetraploid on the market
-
Contains AR37 for improved persistence
-
Very late flowering (22 days later than Nui) and low aftermath heading
-
Very high tiller density
Base AR37 was selected from high yielding, densley tillered plants that survived 2 years of severe drought and hard sheep grazing. Improved persistence is also offered from AR37 endophyte with protection from five of New Zealand's major pasture pests. Base pastures have low aftermath heading, maximising summer pasture quality and animal production.
Grazing Management
Base will produce and persist better under rotational grazing. Avoid hard set stocking during periods of stress (e.g. droughts).
Sowing and Establishment
Base seed is heavier than perennial diploid seed, so ideally should be sown at a 40% higher rate. Base can be sown at 25kg/ha as a pure sward with Superstrike clover.
